Brooke Knapp Grant Tinker was an American television executive and philanthropist. She was the daughter of William Knapp, a founding partner of the financial firm of Goldman Sachs. She married Grant Tinker, the founder of MTM Enterprises and former chairman of NBC, in 1981. After his death in 2016, she became chair of the Tinker Foundation, a philanthropic organization that funds programs on democracy, human rights, and social justice in Latin America. She served on the boards of several organizations, including the Metropolitan Opera, the New York Public Library, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts. In 2018, she was honored posthumously with the Women's Prize for Fiction in recognition of her contributions to women's rights and empowerment.
